Bread Dough


Ingredients

  • 2 C flour
  • 1 t sugar
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 T oil
  • 4 t yeast
  • 1 mug cold water
  • 1 mug boiling water

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 40°C & boil jug

2. In a bowl (large pyrex), mix:

  • 2 C flour
  • 1 t sugar
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 T oil
  • 4 t yeast

3. Add:

  • 1 mug cold water
  • 1 mug boiling water

4. Mix & sit for 2 minutes

5. Add 3 C flour, mix

6. Turn out onto clean, dry, floured bench

7. Knead, adding flour as needed, until the correct texture is reached. About 5-8 minutes.

8. Place dough into bowl, oil, cover and leave to rise in oven 40 minutes – 1 hour, – until it fills the bowl.
